si-mi’s wedding: fetch the bride

they’ve arrived!

simon arrives.. not knowing what to expect 🙂

a note we left for simon and his entourage…

the guys slipping us a hong bao (red packet)… we weren’t happy with just RM10! man! these cheapskates!

after a couple of hong bao exchange and negotiation…

sheryl and i came out with our li’l games and punishment.

the shot glasses represent the five elements of a marriage — sweetness, sourness, saltiness, bitterness and spiciness (hope i got this right). don’t be fooled by those dainty heart shaped sandwiches. they are super yummy… if you’re an australian. vegemite spread on white bread! ooh la la!

first game: guess which is mili’s pout

come on simon, which is mili’s?

unfortunately, in such game, the groom is never right even if he is.

the punishment: simon had to choose 5 guys to eat our yummy sandwiches.

ohhhhhhhhh.. they hated it!!!! look at their facial expression!!

second game: pass the rubberband with a toothpick in your mouth, 3 rounds in 30s. (everyone knows it is impossible)

sheryl and i show them how to do it.. easy stuff!

hardly half a round and the rubberband was on the ground…

the punishment: simon had to eat durian dodol of john’s neck! and we know simon hates durian!

before we could start with our third game, the guys conspired and pushed their way in! (sheryl and i were shoved to the side. how ungentleman-like). we haven’t even gotten them do drink their five shots! do you know how difficult it is to make chili sauce mixed with water?! RRRR..

only to be greeted by mili’s father! “welcome guys!” haa.. and they thought they could fool us grrls. we were one step ahead of them.

and then finally, after a few more hong baos and tireless negotiations, we open the flood gates (also, pressured by the bride’s mom to quit stalling!) our groom got his bride……….

ta-da…….

to be continued… the bride in her gown and tea ceremony with the monster-in-laws
