What She Wants

“Anything in mind already?”

“I think a belt.”

“OK, that’s a good start. Something flashy? For work? For casual wear?”

“Mmmm.. something casual. Nothing flashy. She hates that.”

“What about colour? Since she doesn’t want anything flashy.. neutral colour is good?”

“Yes, basic brown, white or black.”

“Dang. Don’t worry, we’ll be able to find something.”

Girls, tell me if he is a sweetie or what? He plans for her gift two weeks before Christmas just so that he can be absolutely sure that it suits her taste. Drags his own personal shopper, yours truly, so that he’ll get a “lady’s point of view.” Rush with other shoppers on a good parking lot and enter each and every boutique on the main floor of One Utama to search for that PERFECT one which we did eventually. I asked what if he found another nicer, better looking gift within his budget, what would he do?

“I’ll get it for her.”

It doesn’t end there. Yesterday, Kubes and I met up after work so that he could get her a top. Searching for the one she would like didn’t take as long as the previous but at last, he was done with his gifts for her. Maybe planning early would take his mind off on the “most wonderful time of the year” or as many people would put it, “the most pening time of the year,” but it’s the little things that you do that makes it big for someone 🙂

So, if you don’t already know, I’m at the mall 3-4 times a week. I know where’s the best place to park your car, the location of ATMs and the strategy(s) to apply once in the battlefield of desperate shoppers all out to kill you for that last pair of stilettos.  Can you see why Kubes dragged me as his personal shopper? As someone who has full insights of what women wants (in general), here are a couple of items you might want to consider if you haven’t got something for that someone special:

Scent: To have that sexy and seductive scent lingering in your mind the whole night, how about Elizabeth Arden’s Provocative. If you want it sweet and nice, go for Provocative Interlude. The bottle contour is sleek with demure printed lilac lace.

Taste: Women love the bling-bling and all that glitters. Surprise her with a bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne studded with Swarovski crystals. If she’s nice, she’ll share the bottle of bubbly with you.

Touch: She either has it or don’t but all women want it – smooth and silky skin. If it’s a case of bad genes, fret not. L’Occitane newest fruity range – Grape is sure to make her skin satin smooth in 30 days. For those with a tighter budget, Marks and Spencer White Peach and Almost is an alternative. I personally use this range and I think it’s splendid! They have everything from body butter, talcum powder, shower gel to deodorant.

Sound: Hot pink I-Pod Nano. Enough said.

Look: Simple. Get all the items from 1-4, you can LOOK at her happy face. PRICELESS 🙂

Hope this helps! Happy shopping!

They aren’t necessarily my Christmas wishlist. What I really want is world peace. *Beauty queen wave*
